Personal Chef – Chef Zsolt Allaga
I came from a deep family history of gardening and home cooking. I had a love for food from early childhood. Our house was always filled with the sweet aromas of fresh baked goodies, pies and cakes coming from my mother’s kitchen, while the fridge was always stocked with fresh produce from their lavish garden. The family gathered on weekends to “put up” vegetables harvested; shucking, snapping and canning our way to a pantry full for winter.
I learned to cook from my mother in my early teenage years and that sparked an interest that would turn into a life-long passion of preparing quality meals for others. I always enjoyed having friends over for any occasion dinner where I would spend a full day in the kitchen carefully and lovingly preparing treats for my guests. I learned to cook at an early age and have always enjoyed “playing with food.”
After many years in the corporate world, I finally decided to trust my instincts and listen to my heart. The little voice inside said “go forth and cook for others.” It gives me great joy to show people what real, honest food is all about and how actually sitting down and enjoying a home-cooked, nutritious meal can be one of life’s greatest pleasures. Enrolling in culinary school gave me an opportunity to expand my knowledge and skills and become more proficient on many levels. I graduated from FCI, Florida Culinary Institute with Honor, and participated in competitions. In addition, I’m a member of the ACF, American Chef Federation.
